Pine Needle Exchange

(A) What is an exchange ???

An exchange is an opportunity to view someone's work first hand and to own one of their original works of art. Also, for someone to own one of your originals. Naturally, we want to put our best foot forward.

(B) How does it work ???

You will send your exchange information (whatever is requested by that coordinator) to the exchange coordinator (by private email.) At the end of the registration time, Names are drawn randomly, according to the rules of the specific exchange. Names are distributed by email. This way nobody knows who they will send to or receive from till the drawing --- not even the coordinator.

Current Exchange:

"Summertime Exchange"
See the Rules page for all the rules.
Also see the blog for more inspiration and postings about the baskets. You will have to be a group member to access these photos, as they reside on our Yahoo Group site.

If you are interested in hosting your own exchange,
please see the Guidelines for hosting an Exchange

STANDING RULES

These apply to the current and any future exchange.
  1. You must be a member of the Pine Needle Group Mailing List to participate in any exchange.
Subscribe to The Pine Needle Group
    Powered by groups.yahoo.com
  2. When we finish the current exchange we can start planning another one.
  3. We will not begin another exchange until ALL baskets have been received in the present exchange (except for those which are late, as fall into categories below).
  4. Each person will receive only one exchange in return for one exchange. If anyone receives an extra exchange s/he should contact the exchange host (if possible, before opening the additional exchange packages) for clarification. This ensures that no participant is "left out" through misunderstanding.
  5. Anyone who is late in sending their exchange, and/or fails to communicate and work with the exchange host or coordinator when inquires are made, will be asked to sit out the next (one) exchange.
  6. Anyone not sending an exchange (without compelling reason, as determined by the exchange coordinator & list owner) by 1 week following the completion of the exchange, will be asked to send the exchange they received and will be excluded from exchange participation for one year.
  7. Anyone not sending an exchange (without compelling reason, as determined by the exchange coordinator & list owner) by 2 weeks following the completion of the exchange, will be excluded from participation in ALL future exchanges.
  8. Anyone who is repeatedly late in sending exchanges and/or repeatedly does not communicate with host or coordinator will be excluded from participation in ALL future exchanges.
  9. If you do not understand these rules, please contact the Exchanges Coordinator, Lynn Hoyt
